Real People ~ Real Families

Posted 28 days ago

I like to meet all the people that come to the Party.

Even though I'm with each person for just a few minutes, some of them have a raw honesty about them. I feel a real connection. The Guests didn't pop out of a storybook. Real people. Real heart.

The Time of Their Lives

Posted Jan 2017

Every time I get these sorts of reactions to my CARICATURES, I wonder what it is that had immediately affected my Guests.

I like my pictures, and I just feel glad that I can bring them the Time of Their Lives. It feels great to see these people. And it feels wow great to see their reactions to what I see. This is the Time of My Life!

I Forgot

Posted May 2016

But sometimes, alas, I get so wrapped up in Enjoying the Experience with the Party Guests that I just forget to take Photographs as all. At least I photographed the Caricatures themselves this time. So cute ~

The Best Set Up

Posted Apr 2016

In designing your Party, you will need Space for the People to Enjoy each Activity. In the case of Caricatures, it's best if the Artist Sets Up in a way that the Guests can See the Artwork as it's being created.

I've had a lot of Experience in this area ~ it's to the Clients' and the Guests' advantage if I am Set Up this way. As part of the Party. To be Seen is just as valuable as to Have the finished drawings (I usually have plastic bags available so the pictures can be seen safely throughout the Party).

I can draw with just what I bring, but it's more comfortable for the Guests as well as for the Artist if my Client provides 3 Chairs near an Outlet (in case I have to plug in my Lights). And it feels much more Professional if I'm given a Space which allows for comfortable People Flow.

Several years ago, I drew up a picture to describe this. It shows my preferred Standing Set Up using my old Easel. At that time, I was requesting a Chair on which I could clip on my Lights if needed (so I would need to be near an Outlet for my Lights).

Today I drew up a new picture for a Client who is preparing for a Boy's Communion. It shows my preferred Seated Set Up using my new Easel and a small stand which I might bring along if I feel like I might be needing my Lights. It's best to use a Seated Set Up if I will be drawing Children ~ because they're shorter than I am and because they might not understand/remember to stand in one place for the whole time that I am drawing. In this case, I would need the Client to provide 3 Chairs near an Outlet (in case I need to plug in my Lights).

Again, I want to point out that I can draw with just what I bring. But I am describing these Set Ups for helping my Clients who want to know what is the Best Set Up.
