What to Bring?

Posted 8 days ago

One of this weekend's Events is to Personalize Leather Notebooks for Montblanc. Not sure of what I'll be asked to decorate, I previously checked out my Black and White Paint Pens. They worked very well. And I will also bring my Acrylic Paints ~ if tonight's study works out well. I painting a design on my own Leather Pocketbook. Waiting for it to dry, I want to be sure that the material stays flexible and the paint doesn't pop right off. I'll also probably want to add black lines with a Sharpie Marker when it's dry.

hmmmm.....I'm also thinking of bringing Crowquill Pens and India Ink Nah.... I'll be in a New Dress at a quiet table in an UpScale Store. India Ink has a way of.... getting on stuff. Not going to bring it. Perhaps I can find a Fountain Pen around here? Or Oh Boy ~ perhaps my Client Might (Maybe?) let me use one of their Elegant Montblanc Pens???

Not sure what my Client has in mind. So I want to be prepared for anything

Montblanc

Posted Jun 2018

Here are a few of the Pictures I created at the Event for Montblanc's Little Prince Collection. Such a lovely day, such a fine establishment.

I was Drawing & Painting on Notecards and Books provided by Montblanc. The Notecards already had a Little Prince picture in the corner. Real nice ~ gave me a jumping-off point from which to create my pictures.

I felt appreciated.

The Little Prince

Posted May 2018

I recently booked an Event for the Montblanc Store in which I was asked to Draw and Paint in the Style of The Little Prince.

I explained that I would only be painting My Own Pictures in the same Style that was used in the Little Prince.

So, getting ready to Draw and Paint in a Different Style with a Different Medium (Water Colors), I set about to 'Study'. I made a Caricature based on a Photo of a Lady that I Caricatured at a Recent Party. On my Regular Paper because my Client wants me to work on her "Stationary". I'm figuring that won't be real WaterColor Paper.

Turned out to be as Easy as I thought it would be.

I will really Enjoy this Event. I love to Paint. And I admired this beautiful book since I was in High School!

But I'm hoping I will still feel good after working in this Style for several Hours. I felt surprised to Experience "Nervous Lines" that are part of this Style. Not at all the Smooth Confident Lines of My Own Style.
