Going through unposted photos of Caricatures that I drew Before this pandemic situation. I felt chagrinned when I came across the Caricature that I drew in the 3/4 view ~ because it looked familiar. Concerned ~ was i actually one of those Artists who always draws the Same Thing? I never thought I was........
Then, laughing. Ahah! I remember now. It looks like something I drew before because it was the Same Person. Actually, two Very Different Drawings ~ of the Same Person. I found the front-view photo in a different post on my website. Apparently I drew the Same Person at two different Events.

Simplified Caricatures. I figured it out.
In these pictures, you can see my path.
The first one was an attempt at simplification. I didn't like it. So I tried it again. Still missing something. Third attempt ~ very ugly. Then I went about my Other activities.
Had a 2-minute break, so I tried to simplify again. I quickly drew the 4th one in front of the first 3 ~ but I didn't bother pulling up the reference photo.
Got back to it again now. Ahah! This one is Just Right. Exaggeration is still needed even when drawing simplified Caricatures.

I've been practicing Simplifying Caricatures. I feel like this is a good style for Corporate Events and for other Parties where people are self-conscious. To get along with Today's society.
I am trying to stay with this simpler style throughout the picture. Not going in to my more Exaggerated stuff unless it feels right for the Party. I am trying to stay with this simpler style throughout the picture. Exaggeration only looks good if it's done with abandon. I do not feel happy with the results of trying to impose exaggeration onto tame.
