Matrix

December 27th, 2008

I started watching the Matrix again. Lol - Now that I’ve drawn Trinity, I can see why she’s named ‘Trinity’. ‘Tri’ as in ‘Tri-Angle’. She’s very angular. Particularly the triangle nose and chin.

The Fifth Element

December 26th, 2008

I barely started watching tonight’s movie
when I had to stop and draw this guy.
I don’t know if he’s going to have a significant
part in the movie, but he was just too much fun.
The Fifth Element:

That Expression

December 25th, 2008

Wouldn’t it be fun,
Wouldn’t it be fun, I asked myself
to redraw that woman who’s holding up the first Caricature in
the post I posted in yesterday’s Stony Brook post.
That expression that she made…..

It had just taken a moment to press the button.
I had been spellbound - watching a movie - “The
Day After Tomorrow”. Didn’t want to stay up all
night just watching movies, but I was still in shock
when I pressed the button to pause the movie.
Til tomorrow.

But what should I be doing instead? Having been
so wrapped up in the movie, I couldn’t think. So
I just pressed any buttons on the Computer - ended
up at my own website. And, well, I guess it would
be fun to redraw……

So that’s what I did. Another unnecessary picture.
But I’m lucky. It could be maturely accepted as
‘not wasting time’ - because I have to ’stay in shape’
for my career.

Happy Holidays

December 24th, 2008

I worked some excellent Parties this week.
This one, for instance, I really liked the people.
How the man greeted me while shoveling the walk….
How the woman asked me to stay overtime - first one extra hour,
then another half-hour -
because they were so pleased with what I was doing.
How their party started off slowly, then people started to
really have Fun - laughing, wildly, throwing a big soft ball around….

And through it all, I even liked the pictures I drew.
Here are some of them. They are my current-Party-Style-pictures:

SUNY Stony Brook

December 24th, 2008

I’m tickled pink because I’m hired by Stony Brook University several times each year.
It makes me feel like
I’ve Arrived.
Because I used to be an undergraduate student there.
I got my Teaching degree from Stony Brook University.
Dormed at “Stage XII”.

The University contacted me professionally - they had no idea that
I was ‘one of them’ before they found out about my Artwork. But
when I go back there, it’s always an emotional trip -
trying to remember who I was back then,
wondering if I’m ‘one of them’, the students who come to get drawn.
The College experience - seems so important - but it’s such a short time
in our lives. What does it all mean???

Here are some of the pictures that I drew this year at ‘Sports Night’:
