Desk finished. This is about as neat as it’s ever going to get.

I bought the desk and the 2 cabinets below it from Ikea. Put them together myself. It was actually very satisfying.

Here’s a photo of Steve Silver, character designer who’s most famous for having created Kim Possible. Why would I be posting a photo from 2006, you might ask. Because I just came across it while setting up my new desk. And I needed a reference because I just promised to do Walk-Around-Caricatures for Super Bowl Sunday. Haven’t officially done that in a while, so I wanted to check my Walk-Around supplies. I just drew a picture of Steve from this photo.

Yesterday was my friend’s son’s Birthday.
The boy’s pet rat was playing around while
I visited with the Birthday Boy’s Mother.
I drew a picture of the rat for him to come
home to:

Then his Mother said, “What about his
younger sister? Will you draw one for
her too? So I drew this:

And I entertained my friend with a picture
for her, too. (She was the one who pointed
out this rat’s interesting attribute):

I still felt like drawing when she went to
bring the rat back upstairs. I was sitting
in their den - A fireplace flanked by her
husband’s preserved animals which everybody
has to live with. These dead animals which
seem to have Always been there. So I drew
a picture of the racoon for the Birthday Boy too:
