Caricature Express

Wow. If I ever wondered if anybody ever had any new
ideas, these days, I wouldn’t wonder anymore. I just
watched the movie ‘Broken Flowers’ with Bill Murray,
and I was amazed. This story sure is a new idea
to me.

It’s the middle of the night. I really wanted to get
myself onto a better schedule - to get plenty of
sleep and still wake early, but it’s not going to
happen again. Bcause I just had to draw some
pink flowers for Bill Murray. That last scene was
so amazing:

The surprise of middle-age. Not only this
protagonist’s problem, but whatever frustration or
shock might hit a person - where do they go from
there?

This movie’s been around since 2005. but I just got
around to seeing it. Does anyone know of any sort
of a sequel to the philosophy of Broken Flowers?

I like creative-writing. Maybe I’ll attempt some ideas
some day. But for now, just this picture.

Here are photos of some of the Caricatures that I drew at
a recent Party. It’s a good thing I brought my lights - it was
way too dark for drawing. Still, as you can see by these Photos,
the atmosphere does affect pictures. They were taken with
the same camera-phone that I’ve been using this year, but
they’re fuzzy and ‘colored’ bcause of the poor lighting conditions.

The 13-year-old’s Party was held in a bar. The room was dark.
The music was so Loud that I was still in a different state of
existence when I got home. The kids had a lot of Fun! They
were so happy - dressed up and chatting animatedly. And
the same question came up that I think often after Parties
like these. I wonder Whether we’re putting the kids into
these roles (teaching them what to admire and how to
behave), Or whether this is the way 13-year-olds want
to ‘play’ (party).

Here are some of the Fashion Sketches from my latest Bloomingdale’s Event.
I liked my set-up, and I felt freer than I did the previous week,
but I’m still trying to recapture that earlier experience - the time
I was drawing at a Sweet 16 in Connecticut……I had been flying with my drawings…..
I’ll recapture that Wonderful experience again yet.

Anyway, this Bloomingdales Event was very interesting. The youngest
children I ever had for Fashion Sketches before. Most of them were
just perfect little children - just wearing what children wear. But some
of them were Fantastic. Like, Look at the Fashion on the first picture
that I’m posting. Wow!
