This is a Caricature ~ based on the first Family photo that I found on the web tonight. I drew it just because I felt like it

What is Art ?

Posted Jan 2020

Sometimes it's just easier for me to draw basic Caricatures. Not especially exciting, but people are thrilled with them anyway. It's what they expect.

Doesn't create an exciting stir, well, actually it does, but i don't understand why. I don't understand that excitement about them since it's easy for me. I guess people are just impressed to see that some people can really see and draw. They love to see pictures of themselves that are done Right.

I drew this Simple Caricature based on a photo of a man I recently drew Very Exaggerated at a Party.

I feel like the exaggerated CARICATURE I drew at the Party is Real Art. My vision can only be mine, and it involves really interacting with what I see.

I feel like this new drawing that I made on Purple Paper today is a Craft. It's something satisfying that I know how to do.

I don't wanna leave the party

Oh man ~ It feels so hard to put this away. But it's almost 4am already.

Even though I knew it was time to close my day, I set my timer for 10 minutes because I felt like 'really' painting. But I didn't feel like taking out all that 'stuff'. So eureka ~ the Fresco App.

But I hadn't used it since a while back when I barefly started figuring it out. So I had to re-remember how to use the wet brushes and layers and Everything.

Timer went off. No no. I'm not ready yet. I'm just starting to get into this. I kept painting.

I really gotta go. And as soon as I sent it over to post it here, I realized that I was spending so much focus on the Painting, that I didn't exaggerate the Caricature as much as I would have wanted to. So it's just as well.

Now I'll be more ready to use the new app when I start again more Caricatureeeee

The Versatile Artist

Posted Dec 2019

Whether you warm up and what you have been doing makes all the difference in what you can draw. I'm usually just running between Caricature and Facepainting Events., but I've been doing a lot of me things instead this week. So I felt like a different person when I drew this Caricature.

Good thing I did that ~ because I wanted to warm up for drawing at an Upcoming New Years Eve #Party. The simplest idea tonight ~ to step the Girl's lips ~ kept coming out wrong. It was the first thing I drew, and it took four tries before I realized that I couldn't draw it first thing ~ the way I usually like to make Fun Drawings. I had to rely on a simpler approach ~ drawing the outside of the face first AND drawing a predraw for the lips. This time.

Versatile ~ I have many different ways for approaching my Pictures. Apparently there's no one right way. There's only the way that works best for me in the moment.

I like the way I separated the sleeve from the body
