I like to use the IPad

Posted 8 days ago

I made a Digital Caricature tonight. Then I felt surprised to see how intriguing it looked next to one that was just sitting here on my Desktop ~ which I made a couple of Years ago.

They do match, but I can see my skill-growth with handling the IPad

Spike Lee

Oh no! I don't wanna go to sleep. But I have to be my own parent. It's 3am already. I have to take care of myself.

So I'm putting away the picture I was making. I love working on the IPad. So I was making a Painterly Digital Caricature based on the Caricature I drew of Spike Lee a couple of days ago. It's not finished.

I Might get back to it, but I probably won't. It's not a job. I have different plans for what I need to draw tomorrow.

Painterly in Procreate

Posted Jan 2019

I'm at it again. Determined to figure out how to Paint on the IPad the same way I use Oil Paints. I like to use a Limited Palette with Oil Paints. And I was able to Quickly make a comparable Limited Palette with the other Palettes I had previously been making on my IPad.

Even though I prefer Alla-Prima Oil Painting, I chose to work with Transparencies, aka mixing right along while painting. Because I thought it was going to feel too tedious to mix specific Colors on the IPad. Because the Colors don't work the same way as they do with Traditional Media.

I used one of the Reaction Photos from my website as a Reference. This is what I did.

Looking forward to posting them here so I can better see how it came out.

I love it! Especially that Final Pop

Bad Set Up

Posted Dec 2018

I didn't feel like this Client took full advantage of the Caricature Entertainment she ordered. She put her Entertainment into a Dark Corner of the room? Doesn't make sense to me to do that ~ but she still had a Successful Party. Full of people who felt happy to be there. I also got some Great Reactions to these Caricatures, but I couldn't photograph the Reactions with the Ipad because the Reactions came when the Guests were looking at their Caricatures on it.

It was Dark. I happily had No problem seeing what I was drawing on the IPad because it's all lit up, but it felt stressful to actually see Who I was drawing. The Lights that I brought definitely helped, but not really enough. There was no good place to attach them in the Very Small Space. They told me to Set Up in a Corner behind the Photo Booth. With my Back to the Wall so nobody could see the Drawing develop......

When a Caricature was finished, looking just like the Guests, I felt as surprised and thrilled as the Guests felt. Because I could barely see them. Every Event is Different ~ Just like Every Person is Different. I love the different Experiences
