My Studio Clients usually have lots of ideas about all sorts of details they want in the Picture. So instead of doing a lot of facial exaggerations, I end up working like an illustrator -
putting together all those things to tell a story. Here’s one I recently did for a woman who just got her first job as a Chemistry Teacher in a High School:

I recently had a good experience in which a stranger contacted me about a picture that he found on my blog.
Just a very simple picture - I don’t remember any reason for drawing it.
He wanted to use it on his newsletter - to represent a girl who has an advice column there.
I told him how much to send me - just a few dollars. He sent me the money, and he took it from my blog.
I wanted to write about him because I hear so often that people will rip you off,
that you gotta be careful, that you gotta protect yourself.
True, you gotta protect yourself - but that’s from the FEW bad people.
Most people are upright.
And most of the people that I know want to be upright.
And I like to think that I’m a good one too.
It’s important to point out that most people choose to be good.
Chalk it up to another experience of dealing with an honest person.
Check out this guy’s newsletter.
I don’t know how to put links onto this blog,
but you can cut and paste it into your address bar:

Some upright people - I think you have a chance
of getting advice on how to be upright in Rachael’s column.
I’m apparently in a good mood right now.
It’s easy to be pleasant when you’re treated well.
Treating each other right - that could be the way to surround yourself with pleasant people.
