Old Celebrities

Posted 23 days ago

Oh my goodness. I was recently clearing out my drawers, and I found this old Sample. I had made it many years ago ~ back when I was first starting as a Professional Caricature Artist. I didn't even know the word 'Caricatures' back then. I called them 'Cartoonicatures'.

I'm just glad to see that I actually got good Likenesses. Even way back then. When I hadn't yet Evolved.

Getting Better

Posted 25 days ago

This is Communion Season. So I had been toning down my Caricatures lately ~ that works better for Communion Children.

Did one quick (No predraw) Exaggerated Caricature tonight ~ because I sure don't want to lose my Edge. Being able to Exaggerate is an important skill for a Caricature Artist.

I like what I drew. It's based on a random photo from this website. And I feel confident that I would have been able to get more and more Exaggerated if I kept drawing.

Good Night ~

Size of Bicycle

Posted 25 days ago

Here I am, doing Warm Ups in my Car before going in to today's Event.

It's an example of why it's good to image ~ aka imagine (or at least predraw) before doing body/hobby.

If I make the bicycle too big, it automatically looks Static.

If I make it the right size for the picture, I have room for Action lines

Still Tweaking

Posted 26 days ago

This morning, I ate breakfast outside. I felt inspired to Caricature the Cars that were parked down the block.

We can Caricature other things besides Faces. It helps me see whee I have to pick up my skills.

In this case, I realized that I Must do my Warm-Ups. I must get that pen Moving. It's Speed. Which is affected by the Confidence of knowing what we're doing.

First picture shows my first pass. Good, but it didn't quite hit my mark. Then I did my Drawing Warm-Ups. And I love the following 2 pictures. That's what I was trying to develop. That's what had inspired me to draw these cars
