Response to Gift Caricature

Posted Feb 2010

I love when Clients remember that I have a heart too - When they make the effort to let me know that my work was appreciated. I work real hard for this.

Look at the beautiful email that my client just sent about the Studio Caricature in the previous post. I'm smiling. I'm so glad:

(Quote)"I wanted to thank you again for the gift caricature. My parents loved it and were practically in tears. You helped to make their anniversary very special and memorable." (EndQuote)

Hearts

Posted Feb 2010

"It's my Parents' ANNIVERSARY and....." This isn't the first time I heard that. Here's what I came up with (Client told me to include the wine, have them dancing, and leave off the glasses - she doesn't always wear them).

I handled this Anniversary Gift the same way I handle VALENTINE'S DAY Gifts ~ "Don't forget the Heart"

Black/White Line Art

Posted Feb 2010

For when people want the simpler pictures -

We all had fun, as usual. And while I wasn't playing my edge with the Artwork (this was real easy for me), I was able to relax and enjoy being with the people. So they didn't have to sit as long. Instant Art - that's what they wanted.

So I guess it's good either way - either when I'm intent on my Artwork Or when I'm enjoying the People.

Valentine's Day

Posted Feb 2010

What a surprise ~ A girl called me last week - could I draw a Studio Caricature for her for Valentine's Day. She brought me the photos, delightful to work with, and I got to work.

When I was finished, I showed it to my friend. He recognized the girl 'out of the air'. Who would have been thinking of the girl who does the Traffic Reporting for Channel 12 ~ But yes - he was right.

The Caricature - adorable, just as she is. It looks like they could become a box of Chocolates:
