Update

December 31st, 2009

Today’s drive - it was the easiest ever.
There was practically no traffic on the roads
(Very unusual for going over the Throggs Neck Bridge).
And the roads had been cleared perfectly.

Even shoveling my driveway was fine.
It wasn’t so cold. It was nice out there -
felt like I was communing with the earth, gently scratching it’s skin.

I worked at a First Night Celebration in a Library -
It was nice and comfortable - Lighting and sound were plenty to my liking,
I was interviewed on the Radio there (New Rochelle),
and I felt very much appreciated by the polite guests.

Just goes to show
once again
that we don’t have to be afraid to do what we’ve decided to do.
I usually say that I learn how to live
by creating the Drawings,
but today I even learned how to live
by doing the Work part of my job.
We don’t have to be Afraid! If we wouldn’t have recognized it as a danger when we were babies, it’s not a real danger. Fears can disappear like floating dust-clouds.

Most of the things that hold Adults back
are completely unnecessary fears
that dissipate as soon as we refuse to let them have any power over us,
as soon as we refuse to let them affect us.
Do what you think you should do
to get what you want.

Best Wishes to us all in the New Year.
I’m confident that I’ll see a lot of growth in all areas of my Life.

How to get Indoors in the Winter

December 31st, 2009

Well - It seems like the only way to Get indoors
is to first go Outdoors to get there.
Yeow - there’s been a steady snow coming down all morning,
and I have to drive to a Party from Long Island to New Rochelle
this morning. I’m going to go out to shovel so I can leave right away.
I never arrive late to a gig.

So many places to get Indoors this Winter.
I think scarves are the new fashion.
I wanted to post some pictures from some of those Winter Events,
but this is all I’ll have time for just now.
These pictures come from a batch I drew at a recent Community Event.

People are so Nice

December 22nd, 2009

Near the end of a recent party,
where I was drawing really well,
my camera just
froze up.
Aghk.

When I found out that my camera wasn’t working, the guest that I was drawing offered his phone for a photo - and he emailed it right over to me. Wow - so capable. And so fine.

Flexible

December 22nd, 2009

Upscale Corporate Holiday Party. I was glad I brought my lights. (It was very dark in there). Good set-up. Yes.

But I was needed to walk the floor - roaming Caricatures for some of the time. Roaming Caricatures in the Dark. Now, Roaming Caricatures are a little different than seated Caricatures - because I draw them while standing up and holding all my supplies. So they’re usually simpler black/white pictures.

Since this party needed constant ‘adjustment’, I sure am glad that I’ve had a lot of experience. So I was able to
go with the flow.
