Oil-Painting

I did it. A very productive morning for getting to projects that I ‘plan on doing when I get a chance’. I decided to practice an Oil-Painted Caricature. It had been stressful to do them in the past - because I was having trouble coordinating my favorite (alla-prima) oil-painting technique with my Caricature (marker) skills.

It came to me to try a different technique. I ‘found’ the Caricature while searching with a chiarascuro. In a way, it was easier than drawing a Caricature with a marker. Harder because there was more to do, but easier because this technique made it possible to do more.

(This was not a job - It was just for studying. I am now offering both chiarascuros as well as completely developed paintings as Gift Caricatures.)

I’m glad to be reminded of this topic - thank you for writing. I really enjoy Oil Painting. But I get so caught up in my other activities that I don’t realize how much time passes……

I’m so glad it helps you, Metal. Do you make Oil Paintings too?
