Here’s a Happy Caricature of
the Communion-Mother and her four friends.
They all wanted to be in a picture together.
Okay, I say. Even though I was hired specifically
to draw on small paper. The women in this picture
had to be drawn
smmmaaawwwlll.

And here’s a picture of the table.
The beautifully set table.
After the people were Partying.
It’s a good thing they had my pictures there
to keep it decorated:

Sometimes when I work at a Party - all smiles and Fun -
That is where I want to be - I still get hit with Melancholy.
Who was I when I was that age? Could I have done ‘that’
then? How did my personality affect who I became today?
Could I even do ‘that’ yet?
I like who I became today. By writing
about this, I realized that I wouldn’t
want to have a different personality today.
So who I used to be, even if it was different
than these beautiful people that I see at Parties,
who I used to be
grows up very nicely.
I was really impressed with some of the
Confident Happy People that I drew here.
And I really liked some of the Insecure
People With Heart. I’m impressed with the
Loving Things they do for each other. And
it’s even okay to see that they have some
problems. Just like me:

Today I was Face-Painting in Central Park.
Still adding more and more and more pictures to
my cellphone. But I’m not ready to download (upload?)
them yet, because I still haven’t checked out those
recent 491 pictures. So I’ll post a random batch from the
491 here today.
I remember seeing these people
for a moment in my life (in their lives).
The meetings, the interactions, and then, poof. They’re gone.
Made me think about the people who pass us by.
And the people who are in our lives just while we’re taking a class.
And the people who seem to be forever friends, but it really only lasts ten years.
And the people who we live our whole lives with, either by choice or circumstance. Even those
are just temporary. And how we treat these people, these short-term and long-term Passers-By.
And how we affect each other.
It’s so fleeting, but also so real. That’s all there is.
I once heard a ‘poem’ like this:
Some people are in my life for a Reason,
Some people are in my life for a Season,
and Some people are in my life for a Lifetime.

I had a blast tonight! I was Face-Painting for an Opening Party for the new movie, Camp Rock!
Got there early, and hung out across the street at the 53rd Street Deli.
Some of the workers were also there. Here’s a Caricature that I drew of
one of the staff before going in to the Party:

Anyway, the Party was special. I don’t know if I should
say “I Love NY” or “I Love My Job” - it’s All the same thing. I’m just so lucky.
When I walked in to this party, the spread was magnificent. A large
‘Fabric Flame’ wiggled behind a table laden with CupKakes and
Chocolate/Marshmallows waiting to be made into S’Mores. And and
real food too.

But the Big Part was
The Show! They had the real cast from Camp Rock to perform their songs on Stage! I got up as close as I dared and got to see the Disney stars do their stuff. It might be all Disney, but it’s still people performing it to a ‘T”. I was so excited. I’m so lucky. I tried to take some photos for you:

And of course, the Face-Painting went well:
