Giants

February 4th, 2008

Here’s a blast from the past.
Cleaning off my desk, trying to do something
with all those pictures I had thought were so important
when I took them,
I came across these photos of the very first Giant Caricatures I had made.
Years ago when I first designed this idea:

BTW, I love making these Giant Caricatures, but I took them off
my lists of information that I give to people who are planning Parties.
Because it’s just too hard to carry 22×28 papers around so often.
But if you find this post, I hope you’ll ask me about doing Giant
Caricatures at your Party. For the few people who find out about
them, I am glad to do them.

LG Phone

February 2nd, 2008

All right. All right already. I brought my real camera out to a gig. Caricatures - in my beautiful hand-decorated mats. I hope I’ll remember to post them as soon as I get them developed.

But first I’ll have to post the pile of pictures that’s been on my desk for I’d don’t know how long. I’m sorry about the quality of the photos - this was from back when I was trying to use the camera on the LG phone. But I took the photos because I wanted to remember these Caricatures that I drew quite a while ago:

Greeting Card

February 2nd, 2008

I worked at a real 12-year-old’s pajama party today. They had me drawing Caricatures. The dad blindfolded them and gave them exciting surprises to eat (like jalapeno peppers, marshmallows, chocolate, mustard, ketchup). They played with balloons. They wrapped each other up as toilet paper mummies….. A few of them talked ‘boyfriends’, but mostly they were just having fun. Where they were. With who was there.

My pictures were right on. I didn’t bring my camera. As usual. But I do have a picture to share with you.

On the way home from the gig, I walked briskly through a nearly empty Supermarket. Even got into their music. Bought myself a card. Just because it lifted my spirits. Pictures can be so inspiring:

The sentiment that went along with this picture was something like: “Happy Birthday. How many candles - 10, 20, 30, 40… (stop me if you can!)”

Dinner Play

February 1st, 2008

Here’s a picture I was playing with while waiting for dinner. I had had that nose idea on my mind for days, couldn’t wait to try it:

Dinner still not ready. I got a litl wilder:
