the following threee pictures were done in my off time - when I was just drinking water in a coffee shop.

This 2nd one with be used as a Sample. It’s actually quite daring of me. Because people are usually attracted to Samples of beautiful people, not funny-looking ones. But I figure that I’ll take a chance -
I’m hoping to find that there are just as many people who can laugh at the ridiculous human form as
there are people who are afraid to deviate from some imaginary template of beauty.

And here’s just another nice sample. I am currently making these samples in preparation of a Corporate Event. They will be hosting a Hospitality Suite at their Convention where people will be dressed up as comic book characters. Now, I figure a group like this would Want me to take liberties like this:

I wouldn’t usually choose to watch people’s opinions on tv - so how did I end up smiling at my company that wanted to watch Bill O’Reilly last night? I gotta say, though, that you really get to study some very interesting faces when the filming just shows this person’s face, then that person’s face.
I focused on drawing Bill O’Reilly - Even though the circles under the eys that were set below that strong browbone of Tony Snow’s sure were tempting.

BTW, that line, ‘”Life is Scary” that I wrote onto the picture - that had nothing to do with this picture. It was arbitrary that it ended up here. What had happened was that we had flipped to another channel at one point, and I saw that written on a tshirt. Made me laugh because one of the line that I frequently say is “Life is Good.”

My father-in-law used to tell a story - A story about the worm in the horseradish.
The gist of the story is that a worm could be so happy to have found enough food
to feed him for a lifetime - if he found a bitter horseradish. Because he can’t see
another worm’s experience - he can’t know what life is like for some worm that
finds
an apple!
Well, people’s lives aren’t as clear-cut as apples and horseradishes. I see so many people - having all sorts of different life-experiences. I can’t say which is a bitter life or which is a sweet life. But I can peek inside their realities - I can see so many different ways to live. It’s so interesting.
Here are a few pictures from a couple of parties I recently worked at. It includes pictures from a party at a ‘group-home’, an ‘assisted living’ situation in the suburbs. And from a party in the backyard of a small attached-house full of extended family - city-life with kids who always had plenty of people around - whether they were inside or outside. Both of those situations are so different from my own.

I don’t know what’s going to come of this post. I haven’t been bringing my camera to gigs - too much to keep track of. Then I had this idea to use the camera on my cellphone.
Here are some pictures I took of some street Caricatures that I did recently. They’re not that clear, but I hope you can make something out of them. Because All of the people in these pictures responded to their Caricatures with belly-laughs. I was on that day.

It’s not unusual for newspapers to do stories at my gigs. But it is unusual for me to get to see them.
I was so lucky that my client from the Harry Potter gig sent me the section of the Morris County (NJ) Daily Record that showed a picture of my work:

Barnes & Noble had hired me for first night that the new Harry Potter book would be available. And the line of people wanting Caricatures to remember this special night - it started in the middle of the huge store where I was stationed, extended back to one wall, and then continued all around the store! They were in costumes. The excitement was contagious. Wow!
